    Date: Wednesday, October 26th, 2016
    Time: 11am pacific / 2pm eastern

In this webinar we are pleased to have as a special guest speaker Dora Taggart, President of Microbial Insights, Inc. Her presentation will discuss selecting appropriate molecular biological tools (MBTs) to assess remediation solutions and monitor performance. Site managers now have a broad spectrum of molecular biological tools (MBTs) at their disposal to comprehensively evaluate potential treatment options and subsequently monitor remedy performance. While each MBT can provide valuable information, selecting the most appropriate and cost-effective technology to best answer site management questions is not always straightforward.

The presentation will discuss a variety of contaminants and remediation solutions matched with recommended MBTs that provide a direct line of evidence to assess the impact of each treatment approach on key microorganisms and biodegradation processes. More specifically, attendees will gain a practical understanding of applicable MBTs including:

    • Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and QuantArray®
    • Stable Isotope Probing (SIP)
    • Compound Specific Isotope Analysis (CSIA)
