Jerry Minor-Gordon-English
Program Analyst, US EPA Office of Brownfields & Land Revitalization
Jerry Minor-Gordon-English is the National Competition Coordinator for the Multipurpose, Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup (MARC) Programs in EPA’s Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR). In this capacity, Jerry is responsible for coordinating the MARC grant competitions and providing guidance and support to EPA regional brownfields offices. Before joining OBLR, Jerry worked in EPA Region 1 - New England as a Brownfields Project Officer and coordinated the regional ARC grant competitions. Jerry earned a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a charter and active member in the Alpha Alpha Sigma Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, tasting new wines, and spending time with friends and family.
Cindy J. Nolan
Manager, Brownfields & Redevelopment Section, US EPA
Cindy has worked for EPA since 1983; the first 15 in the Chicago office. During those years, she worked in the Superfund program and in the Water program - negotiating cleanup plans for the Great Lakes harbor sites with the Canadians and neighboring States. Cindy transferred to Atlanta in 1998, where she worked for several years on Regional strategic planning and worked to transform the environmental programs for our six (6) federally recognized tribes. She’s been Region 4’s Brownfields Section Chief since 2013 - working with communities, States and other federal agencies, and the awesome Brownfields staff to manage grant funds and foster community revitalization. Cindy has a degree in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University, currently lives in Roswell, GA and volunteers with the city’s historic homes and Atlanta’s theater community in her free time.
Brian Gross
Environmental Scientist, US EPA Region 4, Brownfields Section
Brian has worked for the EPA's Southeast Regional office since 2004, and has worked as a Brownfields Project Officer for 11 years. He has previously served as the Acting Brownfields Coordinator for Region 4, the State lead for Georgia and now serves as the State lead for South Carolina. Brian has a degree in Environmental Policy from Duke University, and lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and three daughters.

Kristen Drake is a solutions-driven client advocate with nearly 20 years of research and operational management experience. In her role as Managing Director and Lead Insurance Archaeologist at PolicyFind, Kristen works directly with policyholders facing long-tail environmental demands, mass tort lawsuits arising from asbestos exposure and latent sexual abuse and misconduct claims. Kristen has successfully documented liability insurance programs for hundreds of clients, including nationally based youth organizations, religious and educational institutions, manufacturers, developers, and drycleaners.
Brett Hicks
Ohio Valley District Manager, REGENESIS
Brett Hicks has over ten years of experience in the environmental field in the areas of site investigation,
project management, risk assessment and technical assistance. He received his undergraduate degree in
biology from Ball State University. Brett currently serves as the Ohio Valley District Manager with
REGENESIS, where he provides technical support for the design and application of soil and groundwater
remediation and vapor intrusion mitigation technology solutions. Mr. Hicks works directly with
environmental consulting, construction, and engineering firms to develop successful remedial approaches
by offering design, application, and performance review expertise for in situ remedial strategies
across a broad spectrum of technology classes.
