Mary Gade
President, Gade Environmental Group LLC
Mary A. Gade is President of Gade Environmental Group LLC, an international consulting firm advising on energy, climate, and environmental strategy. An experienced environmental attorney, she has held senior leadership roles at both the federal and state levels, including Region V Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (2006–2008) and Director of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency under Governor Jim Edgar.
Earlier in her career, she served in multiple executive positions at U.S. EPA, including Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, overseeing Superfund, emergency response, and air programs. She also co-founded the Environmental Council of the States and served on the Department of Defense’s Science Advisory Board for its Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program.
Ms. Gade is a recipient of Governing Magazine’s Public Official of the Year award and the Richard Beatty Mellon Environmental Stewardship Award. She earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law.
Rosa Gwinn, PhD PG
Fellow, Global PFAS Technical Lead, AECOM
With 35 years’ experience with AECOM and legacy companies, Dr. Rosa Gwinn's primary focus has been on the characterization and remediation of emerging environmental contaminants including PFAS, chlorinated solvents, explosives, and metals. She has executed and managed task orders for PFAS, military munitions response, and operational range assessments under each phase under CERCLA. Stemming from a career focused on innovation around emerging environmental challenges, she leads AECOM’s Global PFAS Technical Practice. With a foundation in solving thorny remediation issues, she recognized the need to focus AECOM’s creative strength on addressing PFAS in drinking water, wastewater, and the environment. Central to this role is interfacing with clients, academic partners, trade associations, and government agencies, and anticipating and influencing PFAS regulations.
Elizabeth Denly
Vice President, PFAS Initiative Leader & Chemistry, TRC
Elizabeth Denly serves as TRC’s PFAS Initiative Leader and Chemistry Director. Ms. Denly leads the TRC Center of Research & Expertise (CORE) PFAS Team, a group of scientists devoted to staying informed of current PFAS issues, science, and regulations. She currently works on many different types of PFAS investigations with a specific focus on chemistry, sampling procedures, data interpretation, forensics, QA/QC, and analytical methodologies. She has been a leader on the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) PFAS Team, serving as a co-leader on the History & Use and Nomenclature Section and as a trainer on PFAS chemistry, sampling & analysis.
Taryn McKnight
VP of Product, PFAS Practice Leader, Eurofins Environment Testing (USA)
Taryn McKnight, PFAS Practice Leader for Eurofins Environment Testing, has over 20 years of experience in the environmental testing industry. As one of the company’s subject matter experts on PFAS, Ms. McKnight contributes to multiple organization and agency workgroups to address PFAS challenges, including her current role as co-chair of the NGWA subcommittee to develop a white paper on PFAS Forensics. With her expertise, she provides technical guidance to clients in setting up programs to achieve their site-specific objectives, and to agencies with understanding their analytical options and data usability considerations.
Maureen Dooley
Vice President - Industrial Sector, REGENESIS
Maureen Dooley has over twenty-five years of experience in many aspects of remediation industry, including project management, research and development, senior technical oversight, remedial design and laboratory management. Her prior experience includes the completion of numerous treatability studies designed to evaluate the biodegradation of a wide range of chemical constituents that include chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, explosives, aromatic hydrocarbons and pesticides. In her current role at REGENESIS, she provides technical leadership for complex soil and groundwater remediation projects, including PFAS groundwater contamination treatment, throughout North America, as well as remediation design, strategy, and business development.
